First Announcement

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to alert you to the upcoming 22nd Winter Workshop on Nuclear Dynamics, to be held at the Sea Lodge Beach Resort in La Jolla near San Diego, California, from March 11 to March 19, 2006.

This 22nd workshop in this series will continue the tradition of covering the entire range of energies in the field of heavy ion reactions, as well as neighboring fields with significant intellectual overlap. The goal of allowing for cross-fertilization between fields is aided by the format of the workshop that allows plenty of time for informal discussions and collaborations. Each workshop day will have morning and evening sessions. All talks will be of 25 minutes duration, with an additional 5 minutes for questions.

If you are interested in attending this workshop, please go to the conference web site at http://rhic.physics.wayne.edu/~bellwied/sandiego06/ and fill in the registration form. We are interested in keeping the workshop attendance to less than 100, and so a timely registration is extremely important.

We have negotiated a special reduced rate with the resort of $145 per day per room, single or double occupancy including breakfast. This rate includes a welcome reception on Saturday evening, three dinners and one banquet during the week, two lunches, as well as food and drink during two daily coffee breaks. Hotel registration information will be mailed to you once you have completed your online workshop registration.

The registration fee of $275 per person will be charged and includes a copy of the proceedings publication. This registration fee can be paid upon arrival at the resort. We will also offer the lunches and dinners as a separate food package for accompanying persons.

Warmest regards,
The organizers
Wolfgang Bauer, Michigan State University
Rene Bellwied, Wayne State University
Manuel Calderon, University of California, Davis
John Harris, Yale University
Gary Westfall, Michigan State University
